If you are experiencing any problems with your Deskjet
printer printing from Sage Line 50 then it is worth trying the standard
HP Deskjet
or the HP Deskjet
500 driver from the MS Windows 95/98 installation disks.
Deskjet
printers, due to the printing technology that they use, require quite
large margins. Sometimes the margins for reports in Sage Line 50 are not
big enough.
To change the margins to their minimum default
1. Run the problem report to preview.
2. Click Page.
3. Click OK.
4. You will then be prompted that the report has changed, click OK.
5. This will then prompt you that the margins are invalid, and if
you click Fix All then the program will automatically analyse the printer
driver and configure the report for the correct margins.
6. At this stage DO NOT print the report. Click Close and then click
Yes to save the changes. When you run the report again the information
will then be printed correctly.
This only effects the current report.
If you experience problems or errors when printing from Sage Line 50
to your Canon Bubblejet then it should be solved by setting the printer
to emulate an Epson printer and then installing the correct Epson printer
driver from the MS Windows installation disks.
Usually the narrow carriage bubblejets (e.g. BJ10ex, BJ200, BJC600) will
emulate an Epson LQ
850, and the wide carriage/A3 will emulate an Epson LQ
2550 or Epson LQ
1050.
